Manga Studio 5 & Permanent Hiatus

I used Manga Studio 5 to create this. This is my last drawing before my permanent hiatus.

Rose Without a Bloom

Boo's roses.

Here is a look at some of Boo's roses that I saw while browsing through her Houzz page. They are busy decorating their new home. I also fixed my Gmail messages today and folders on Firefox today.

Here are a few of the ones I really liked on her page. My very favorite was the Crown Princess Margarita which Jessica took a picture of me next to but she did not send me a link to that photo unfortunately :(it's too bad because they were droopy and very nice to look at).

Afterwards I ate my very last foods which consisted of one-day old cheese pizza from Sam's Club, a ciabatta bread roll with rotisserie chicken and mayonnaise from a Kraft mayo packet, macaroni salad from two or three nights past, a chocolate Otis Spunkmeyer muffin, and a mini Twix, Snickers, and a bite of a Reese's PB cup. I drank Nestea and orange soda from Sam's Club. Mom fed me cold mango.

I finished my test chef blog and added a ratings gadget to it. I also finished my butterbug studios blog. I like my cooking blog a lot :)

New Blog Theme and Sweet Tomatoes

This afternoon around 5 PM, I took an hour break to go on my computer. Although I had planned just to browse online and post something I had read, I decided to update my cooking blog first, with a template that looked more professional (because I like the look of this blog). Well, I only had time to work a little on it and before I knew it an hour had passed.

We went to the garden a little and my dad said we were going to Golden Corral once my mom arrived home. I decided to go, for a last meal with my family. I worked on my blog while waiting. Once she came to the door, I got dressed and Jessica decided she wanted to eat too. She insisted on to-go, but I wanted to share this last time with her if possible. We hopped inside the car.

On the ride there, Jes suggested Chinese food instead of Golden Corral, so we decided to go to Sakura buffet (the new one we had never visited). We did not know where it was located but I remember a billboard near the Olive Garden. If it was not nearby we could always go to the other China Buffet we used to go to next to Hobby Lobby/Outback/Chik-Fil-A and the store that sells puppies.

When we got to the parking lot of the old China Buffet, Jessica said it had too many violations such as roaches and rats. So instead my dad suggested we go to Sweet Tomatoes.

We ate at Sweet Tomatoes and it was very good. They served a turkey taco prepared salad, green pepper potato salad, Abondigas Locas with chicken meatballs, cilantro lime penne pasta, buttermilk corn bread, raspberry and sweet tea to drink, and a new type of muffin called Horchata. They also served chocolate lava cake and soft serve yogurt with Oreo topping (and chocolate chip cookies on the side)! I took one of the cookies for the car ride home.
It was a wonderful atmosphere that I did not remember from before. The menu online says they will offer dulce de leche soft serve from  May 7th to May 10th.

When we came home around 10 PM I decided to finish my blog. It has taken quite a while, trying to install a photo carousel and organizing a lot of my photos and computer files. I am putting the finishing touches on it atm (around 6 AM).

I also heard very nice music tonight, and I have made $0.22 on goodsearch.

Final Fancy Feast

After I had made my paper doll collection and composite photo, both my neck and back started to hurt (like each day this week), so I decided to take a break. My last big thing I decided to do was prepare one last feast with my family.

I looked around the kitchen and followed my stomach. What I found was a box of Kraft macaroni and cheese, a plastic bowl/basket of potatoes (Jes had commented that they have sprouted spuds already), two boxes of ready-to-make au gratin potatoes, Pillsbury frozen pie crusts, Breyers vanilla bean and Hersheys Kisses with caramel ice cream, Kraft mayonnaise, and a half empty box of Muellers bowtie pasta. For meat I was searching for ground beef to put in my macaroni but all I could find was frozen flank steak and leftover chicken rib meat in Ziploc baggies. What I made with these ingredients (pictured above) are macaroni and cheese, macaroni salad, steak, baked potatoes, and an ice cream pie for dessert. First I baked the potatoes, then I rolled out the pie crust and baked both the bottom crust and top crust. Mom came home and was surprised to see me cooking. She gave me shiitake mushrooms to put in my salad. Then I worked on preparing the pasta until dad got home to cook the flank steak. Dad burnt the steak under the broiler. After everything was done cooking I put the salad and dessert in the freezer until they got cold. I prepared the table while waiting. We used the black card table in the living room instead of eating in the dining room like usual. I took out four square stoneware China and four glass tumblers which Mom filled with Pepsi. I set up matching spoons and forks for everyone, and nice serving spoons. When the pasta got cold, I put it in a square glass serving bowl which matched the tumblers. (Well first I put the mac and cheese in one of those bowls.)

Then it was time to eat. We took pictures on my camera phone because I do not remember where my digital camera is. I think it is in my leopard purse but I do not remember where that is either. Poor Jes she keeps having to upload my pictures from her phone. Despite resolving to only take one picture, my parents convinced me to take three, one with each of us as pairs. I served the food on my plate: sides first, then potatoes and steak, and one leftover slice of cookie pizza from the night before. The sides were delicious! I did not know which tasted better, the warm macaroni or cool salad. Mom said they were equal. Dad said the burnt steak tasted like beef jerky. We invited Jes but she said she did not want to eat with us because she had already eaten ramen, even though we had already set a place for her at the table. Then we ate dessert and I left the table to go post my blog really quick.

I looked up more badges and ended up losing an hour because one of the gadgets was not working properly. It was a members badge from a Netflix movie lovers community blog. I tried to add an auto-scroll gadget to cover up the mistake. My layout page froze and I lost the html code for the Netflix badge. The DeviantART badges I tried to add earlier today would not work either. However, I was able to sign up for goodsearch on the Locks of Love website, which raises a penny for charity for each search made.

Finally this will be my last post tonight, and in the future. I have made up my mind to wrap up my blog and not to play online or go on my computer any longer, and always to keep my resolutions.

Thank you very much for your visits.

Composite Photo and Paper Dolls

This is a composite photograph I made on Gimp, from a collection of pictures of my family. The eyes are mine, nose is my mom's, mouth is Jessica's, face is Mika's, hair (top part) is Cheska's, and the body is Charlene's.

I also made my paper doll collection today, using COPIC Multiliner Markers and gel pens Jes bought me for my birthday.

I spent the first half of the day fixing my blog and searching for badges, but ended up writing reviews on Yelp! and registering for DeviantART.

I also heard a knock on the door and when I answered it was a Bible study group.
